Service Terms and Conditions: CALIFORNIA STEAM CO.
These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between the client (hereinafter referred to as "Client") and CALIFORNIA STEAM CO., located in Laguna Hills, California. By scheduling a service, the Client agrees to be bound by the following terms consistent with Orange County industry standards.
1. Cancellation and No-Show Policy
To maintain our scheduling integrity for all Orange County residents, CALIFORNIA STEAM CO. requires a minimum notice for all cancellations or rescheduling.
- Notice Period: Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time.
- Cancellation Fee: Cancellations made within 24–48 hours of the appointment, or "no-shows" (where the technician is unable to access the property at the scheduled time), will incur a fee of 50% of the estimated service cost or a minimum flat rate of $59, whichever is greater.
- Access & Safety: If a technician arrives and finds the property inaccessible or deems the environment unsafe for equipment or personnel, the service will be cancelled, and the standard cancellation fee will apply.
2. Satisfaction Guarantee & Refund Policy
At CALIFORNIA STEAM CO., we prioritize quality results. Our policy focuses on re-cleaning rather than cash refunds.
- Reporting Window: Any dissatisfaction regarding moisture levels must be reported within 24 hours. Issues regarding spots, odors, or general cleanliness must be reported within 5 days of service.
- Re-Clean Service: If the Client is unsatisfied, we will provide a one-time complimentary re-cleaning of the specific affected areas. This must be scheduled within 30 days of the original service.
- Discretionary Refunds: Cash refunds are not standard and are only evaluated on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of management, typically only after a re-cleaning attempt has failed to resolve an extreme issue.
- Deposits: All booking deposits are non-refundable.
3. Liability Limitations & Pre-Existing Conditions
CALIFORNIA STEAM CO. utilizes professional-grade equipment and solutions; however, the Client acknowledges the following limitations:
- Pre-existing Damage: We are not responsible for damage resulting from improper carpet installation, underlying floor defects, or "wear-and-tear" (such as fraying or thinning) that becomes visible after soil removal.
- Permanent Staining: While we strive for excellence, complete removal of all stains or odors is not guaranteed. Some substances permanently alter carpet fibers; previous DIY cleaning attempts by the Client may also set stains permanently.
- Property Movement: Technicians are not responsible for damage to furniture or items not moved prior to arrival, or for breakage of fragile items left in the work area.
4. Payment Terms
- Payment is due in full upon completion of the service unless otherwise arranged in writing.
- We accept standard payment methods common to the Laguna Hills and greater Orange County area.
Note to Client: Please ensure all pets and children are kept away from equipment and treated surfaces until completely dry (typically 6–12 hours) to ensure safety and prevent re-soiling.
